In Chiropractic cold-laser therapy, the patient uses this FDA-approved light (photon energy) with the unique property of being able to penetrate up to two inches below the skin’s surface causing an increase in cellular metabolism with no tissue damage whatsoever. The therapy is painless and totally non-invasive.

Based on the nature of your condition as well as a number of other factors, X-ray studies of your spine or injured body part may be indicated. This allows us to evaluate structural balance and evaluate potential underlying pathology conditions.

Determine structural imbalances and determine muscle and joint substitution patterns. Better understand the spine's alignment issues that can negatively impact range of motion.

Assess the joint function through a plan of motion

Electrical Muscle Stimulation is an exceptional way to help the body in the healing process. This is accomplished by sending a very small electrical current into the affected soft tissue injury or muscle spasm. The therapy utilizes this current in an effort to help reduce swelling and release trigger points that may have the muscle locked up. It does this by helping the body to release natural relievers of pain often referred to as endorphins.

This is a great therapy if there is a spasm in a back or neck muscle. It works well in relaxing the muscle and allowing it to return to its normal state rather quickly. Short therapy sessions are excellent at facilitating healing from acute and chronic pain.

A gentle, non-invasive therapy, decompression uses cyclical, painless stretching to reduce pressure, promote circulation, and improve healing naturally. Decompression effectively relieves debilitating neck, arm, leg and low back pain and has also proven successful in treating pain associated with degenerative discs, herniated discs and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Rapid Release Therapy creates a high-frequency vibration waves to trigger a neurological response known as the tonic vibration response (TVR). This in most cases quickly reduces muscle spasms, pain and scar tissue.

The best thing, most patients experience rapid reduction of pain, tenderness and muscle spasms.

Most patients say "That is amazing and that feels so Good!"

Many patients with joint injuries of the ankle, knee, shoulder and lower back require additional therapy to achieve full recovery. Rehabilitative exercise is used to strengthen the joint, lessen the risk of the re-injury and aide in the proper healing of the injured area.

Surface EMG is a device that measures the amount of electrical activity in muscles when they contract; it's similar to an EKG for the heart. Like x-rays and other diagnostic tools, the sEMG gives doctors a better view into the body's health and allows for a more appropriately designed treatment programs.

A TENS (Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation) unit is a small, battery-powered, portable muscle stimulation machine that can be used at home to help control pain. Variable intensities of electric current are used to control pain. This treatment is recommended to help patients get through periods of severe (acute) pain. TENS units are perfect for at-home or at-work care.

30-40% of spinal correction is your responsibility to change the muscles and ligaments that support the spine. We commonly prescribe specific strengthening exercises for our patients with back, neck, and extremity problems. These exercises can decrease pain, prevent muscle deterioration, promote joint health, increase strength, stability, and range of motion, and protect against new or recurring injuries.

We will show you how to do the exercises and supervise you until you are comfortable doing them on your own. It's important to keep up with your exercises as prescribed (similarly to drug prescriptions). Studies show that individuals who follow their exercise instructions heal faster than those who do not.

Thermography is a diagnostic workup that analyzes the central nervous system by measuring the heat coming from the body. It provides visual and quantitative documentation of these temperature measurements, revealing information about the normal and abnormal functioning of the sensory and sympathetic nervous systems, vascular dysfunction, myofascial trauma and local inflammatory processes.

In Chiropractic traction-massage, the patient lies face up with a pillow under the knees. A system of rollers then moves up and down the spine, gently stretching and massaging the muscles of the back. Traction-massage is performed along with an adjustment to relax the spine, making the adjustment easier to perform, more comfortable, and more beneficial.
